Breakthrough investigation Panama. Mobile phones, insurance card and Camera from Kris and Lisanne located.

Amersfoort – June 14th, 2014 – Since yesterday afternoon investigators in Panama have been trying to verify information that came to their attention via a ‘tip’ regarding the discovery of the mobile phones, an insurance card and a digital camera belonging to Kris and Lisanne. The items where found in or near a river at about 8 hours walking distance from Boquete.

Indian found backpack

A man who was planting rice along the riverside with his wife discovered the backpack as they went inside the water to cool down. They where aware of the fact that Lisanne and Kris where missing from Boquete and the recognised their name on the insurance card. They immediately contacted their neighbour from Boquete who alerted the local authorities. A helicopter took off from Boquete with on board Officer of Justice Betzaida Pittí and from that moment on things got quiet. Because of the continuously bad weather conditions the team got disconnected from the people on the ground. It was only Saturday just before noon the team was able to reach the department of justice in David.

Pressconference

In the meantime there has been a short press-conference in which Betzaida Pittí has shared more information regarding their findings. We will share more details .
